As defined by Korr (1978) – Manual Therapy is the “Application of an accurately determined and specifically directed manual force to the body, in order to improve mobility in areas that are restricted; in joints, in connective tissues or in skeletal muscles.”

A hands – on technique is the main approach of a Manual Therapist, which involves manipulation and mobilization, myofascial release to treat soft tissues, relief pain through adjustments of spine and joints, release muscle tension, enhance blood supply, nerve supply and lymphatic drainage of the affected area.
